API Oilfield Non-Rotating Self Locking Cementing Plugs
Cement Plug Description:
Cementing Plugs are used during primary cementing operations to wipe out dispersed fluid including drilling fluid and cement from the inner diameter of casing, therefore minimizes the contamination of cement slurry.
The Float Equipment provides Landing platform to Bottom Cementing Plug. Bottom Plug is pumped behind the spacer and ahead of cement slurry. It wipes the dispersed fluid from casing inner diameter and seats at float equipment. Rupture disk in Bottom plug is ruptured due to differential pressure, and cementing is performed into the annular space between casing and formation through created opening. The Top Plug is pumped to wipe out dispersed cement slurry by wiping out inner casing walls and then it rests on the bottom plug. After the Landing of Top Plug, the pressure starts increasing and it indicates the cement has been placed.
Color Coding:
- Red for Bottom Cementing Plugs
- Black for Top Cementing Plugs
Features:
Are available in sizes from 2-3/8“ up to 20”.
Are available in Pressure Rating from 3,500 PSI up to 8,000 PSI.
Are manufactured for a standard Burst pressure of 300 PSI and can be adjusted to suit customer requirements.
Are made of special elastomeric blend that has a good temperature resistance of up to 250°C (482 °F).
