Product Description API Cameron bop/Shaffer bop/Hydril bop for wellhead pressure control Product Description Blowout preventers (BOPs), in conjunction with other equipment and techniques, are used to close the well in and allow the crew to control a kick before it becomes a blowout.
Shaffer ram BOPs offer field-proven reliability in sealing around drill pipe and across open hole and for shearing drill pipe.
1.Minimum maintenance space is required.Shaffer rams have a low overall height compared with other ram preventers.
2.Single, double and triple models are available.
3.Full environmental H2S trim, conforming to API and NACE requirements, is available.
4.Self-draining body has a ram compartment with skids to support the rams and a sloped bottom which allows mud and sand to drain back into the well bore. This keeps the ram cavity free of caked mud and debris.
5.Ram rubbers have a long life in routine drilling operations and in stripping.
6.Rams can be changed easily without breaking or remaking hydraulic connections,even with pipe in the hole.
7.Single piston hydraulic operators have a minimum number of working parts. This assures high reliability and low maintenance.
8.Flanged, hubbed or studded connections are available for end connections and side outlets of most models. Cameron developed the TL and UM ram-type BOPs based on the highly successful U BOP design to meet today’s demand for reduced weight,lower height and easier maintenance. Cameron also makes the DL Annular BOP which features a lightweight, low profile design available in single or double body styles.
